Elderly man found unharmed

An 87-year old man that was reported missing from his residence in the downtown area shortly after 10:30 a.m. this morning (Sun. Feb. 1) was found mid-afternoon safe and unharmed.

The Sheriff's Department launched a full-scale search for the man after receiving the report that he had disappeared. Sweeps around the area by the Sheriff's helicopter alerted Fallbrook residents about the man that was being sought.

At 5 p.m. this evening it was confirmed that the man was back home, comfortable and eating dinner.
