Search underway for elderly man; Sheriff asks public's help

The Fallbrook Substation of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department is asking the community's help in locating an 87-year old man who wandered away from his residence earlier today, Sunday, February 1.

The man, believed to be wearing a blue baseball cap, checkered shirt and dark pants, was last seen in the vacinity of 900 E. Alvarado Street at approximately 12:30 p.m.

According to the Sheriff's department, the subject has no money, no known place to go and no known friends.

The Sheriff's helicopter is currently patroling Fallbrook by air broadcasting information to the public.
