Vinton C. Carey

Vinton C. Carey, 89, of Placerville passed away January 29, 2009. He was born November 21, 1919, in Woonsocket, SD.

He is survived by sons Bruce (Pam) of Hemet, Dana of Loomis and Steve (Gloria) of Canada; daughter Carolyn Hernandez of Hemet; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother Ralph Carey; and sister Beverly Bellar.

Mr. Carey was a resident of Fallbrook for 20 years. He owned and operated the Richfield/Arco Service Station on Main Street for 18 years. He then resided in the Garden Valley/Placerville area for 29 years.

A graveside service will be held February 5 at the Masonic Cemetery in Fallbrook at 2 p.m. with Rev. Plank officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary.
