HealthWalk presents Care of the Heart workshop

In support of National Heart Health Month, HealthWalk will offer a Care of the Heart workshop at HealthWalk Carlsbad on Wednesday, February 18, at 6 p.m.

The workshop will focus on how to maintain a healthy heart throughout one’s life. It is open to everyone interested in heart health, healing the heart and preventing heart disease through natural and integrated processes.

Every 34 seconds a person in the United States dies from heart disease. More than 2,500 Americans die from heart disease each day and, in fact, heart disease is the leading cause of death in America, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Participants in the workshop will learn about the underlying causes of heart disease and how to address these issues from a naturopathic, nutritional and non-invasive approach.

Presenters will also share the latest research, information, tips and recipes for maintaining vibrant health and vitality and promoting longevity. The focus is on effective prevention techniques, early warning signals and smart lifestyle choices.

A heart-healthy meal will be sponsored and served by Cooking 4 Life, the Salad Master distributor.

The workshop is free based on a first-come basis through pre-registration. Register online by sending an e-mail to [email protected] or by calling HealthWalk at (877) 255-4703.

The workshop will be held at HealthWalk, 5825 Avenida Encinas, Suite 111, in Carlsbad.
