Potter Students of Month visit Fallbrook Rotary

FALLBROOK — Potter Jr. High Principal Dr. Tere Peterson introduced four Students of the Month honored for their “fairness” to the Rotary Club of Fallbrook at a recent luncheon.

So honored were seventh grade students Edith Ochoa and Tanner Norfolk and eighth grade students Maria Saldana and Chris Raymundo.

Of the students, Dr. Peterson said, “Edith lets others take turns and follow the rules. One day when her friend forgot her lunch, [Edith] shared half of hers.

“Tanner’s work is finished on time and he offers to assist students with their work. The word ‘excuse’ is not in his vocabulary.

“Maria always helps others in academic need. She is fair and honest with her peers and treats everyone with respect.

“Chris exemplifies fairness. He never passes judgment but treats everyone equally and with respect.”

Student of the Month is an ongoing program of the Fallbrook Rotary Club designed to promote and reward student excellence in the local school system.
