Ship ahoy, landlubbers

FALLBROOK — The Fallbrook Senior Center will embark on the USS Midway in San Diego Harbor on Thursday, March 19.

The bus will leave the Senior Center at 9 a.m. and arrive at the harbor around 10:15. There will be a docent-conducted tour of the ship. Attendees will be on their own for lunch.

Cost is $55 per person for the bus and tour. The group will return to Fallbrook by 3 p.m.

There is still time to sign up for the trip to Viejas Casino on February 17. The cost of $12 includes a two-for-one lunch, driver’s tip and water. The bus will leave the center at 8 a.m. and be back around 5 p.m.

Another adventure coming up is the Senior Center’s Seventh Annual Laughlin Trip. Travelers will sleep by the river at the Riverside Hotel May 18 to 20.

The cost includes great accommodations, three free buffets at the hotel, a special Laughlin Funbook and baggage handling.

Reservations are also being taken for a seven-day, six-night trip to Colorado and the Rocky Mountains August 23-29.

This trip is full of sightseeing with tours of the US Air Force Academy, Royal Gorge, Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs. Travel insurance is available; final payment is due by June 17.
