Volunteers sought for Trauma Intervention Program

The San Diego County chapter of the Trauma Intervention Program (TIP) is looking for volunteers in the Fallbrook, Rainbow and Bonsall area as well as the rest of the county.

We are having a training academy starting on March 5. TIP volunteers respond to 9-1-1 calls when asked to do so by either sheriff/police, fire, paramedics or hospital emergency room personnel to be with the survivors of an emergency situation for a couple of hours immediately after a tragic event.

It is a very rewarding experience for the volunteers to be part of an emergency response team and much help to the survivors. Tending to the survivors also frees the professionals do their work at the scene.

If you are interested in further information about TIP or the pending training academy please call our office, which is located in the Carlsbad Police Department building, at (760) 931-2104. No experience necessary. You will be glad you did.
