Barbara "Bobbie" Dawson Carne

Barbara “Bobbie” Dawson Carne passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2009, at Fallbrook Hospital due to complications of pneumonia. She was born August 12, 1919, in Lynch, NE, to Arthur and Ann Dawson. She had two brothers, Warren Dawson of Mountain Home, AR, and Dorth Dawson of White Plains, MO.

Bobbie was a devoted mother and wife. She was an active member of the Fallbrook United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting and had been a longtime member of the Fallbrook Quilt Guild. Her nine great-grandchildren were a constant source of joy for her.

Bobbie is survived by her husband of 67 years, Gerald “Jerry” Carne; her children and their spouses, Doug and Patti Carne, Tom and Joyce Carne and Leslie (Carne) and Alan Prough; grandchildren Doug, Rob, Peter, Steven, Trevor and Jeremiah; and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 26, at 1 p.m. at Fallbrook United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Fallbrook United Methodist Church children’s fund.
