A thank you from Afghanistan

I would like to thank the Village News for your recent story on Afghanistan Water Polo (1/17/09). It was very well written and definitely pinpointed what our organization is doing to help create desperately needed heroes in a country that has known little but horrific conflict for over three decades.

These heroes will in turn take their experiences back to Afghanistan to help their country become self-reliant. Once self-reliance takes root in Afghanistan, the United States will be able to start bringing our men and women of the armed forces home to their families and a grateful nation.
