Karnival moved to this Sunday

I just wanted to take a moment to thank the town of Fallbrook.

My son Hunter Hults and his friends formed Kidz 4 Kritterz to make a difference in the lives of the animals at the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary. After volunteering there last fall, Hunter became passionate about the care of these animals. When he lost his aunt in an accident last summer, he realized that he could save these animals and do something amazing in honor of his aunt.

I have been awed by these five seventh- and eighth-graders; they have worked hard to make this Karnival happen. Even when the rain cancelled and changed the date to this Sunday, they didn’t get discouraged. What I didn’t realize is that a community would come forward to help them accomplish their goal.

There are so many individuals and companies that have embraced and encouraged them. They are excited about showing the community what they have put together.

Think about coming down to Ciao’s restaurant at 2015 East Vista Way in Vista this Sunday and supporting them. Each one has so much invested in this weekend. We would love for you to be part of it.

Thank you. Rain or shine, we need these kids to see what is possible.
