Letter to President Barack Obama

My family background is Jewish and I was immensely proud of the state of Israel, until my middle age, and after countless news reports of Israel’s persecution of Palestinians, destroying their homes and farms, towns and public works, assassinating their leaders, killing civilians, women and children.

I think Israel is crazy with fear and contempt of other people and will use any and every brutal savage force toward an imaginary threat. And we (USA) supply the planes and bombs they use.

It’s time to stop sending arms to Israel, to admit our (USA) guilt in Middle East wars and to begin rebuilding what Israel has destroyed, putting Americans there to protect Palestinians.

Mr. President, you could begin now; a majority would cheer you; many would join you; will you lead us?
