Women's history to be celebrated

FALLBROOK — Fallbrook’s Writers Read, a monthly gathering of writers and readers, is honoring Women’s History Month (March) with an invitation to the community to “Telling Women’s Tales,” a celebration of women in the written word.

This special reading on Wednesday, March 11, at 6 p.m. will feature an all-open mic night for writers to share their original poetry and prose about women important in their lives.

Fallbrook’s Writers Read is also offering a creative writing workshop to help men and women tell women’s tales in poetry and prose.

“Each of us sees the world in a unique way,” said workshop co-facilitator Kate Harding, a local author and poet.

For workshop information, contact Kit-Bacon Gressitt at (760) 522-1064 or [email protected].

Fallbrook’s Writers Read is hosted by Café des Artistes. Beverages and a special supper menu are available. Fallbrook’s Writers Read is supported by Fallbrook independent bookseller the Book Nook.
