Hospital Auxiliary honors volunteers

FALLBROOK — The Fallbrook Hospital Auxiliary recently honored members for the number of service hours they have accumulated.

The auxiliary’s public and charitable purpose is to give volunteer service to hospital patients. In addition, members raise funds for community healthcare services and for scholarships awarded yearly to high school graduates living in the Fallbrook Healthcare District and planning to enter the healthcare field.

Presenting the hour pins was Hollis Moyse of the membership committee, who has been a dedicated volunteer throughout the years.

Special recognition pins went to Roena Thompson (500 hours), Jean Lockett and B.J. Johnson (1,500 hours), Billy Lockett (2,000 hours), Lucy Taylor (7,000 hours), Bettie Haughey (7,500 hours), Esther Gonsalves (9,500 hours) and Marilyn Qualls (11,500 hours).

Those interested in becoming auxiliary volunteers are invited to contact membership director Barbara Von Nordheim at (760) 723-2662.
