FALLBROOK — Fallbrook 4-H member Dannika Long has earned an Emerald Star, a rank awarded to a member for planning and implementing a leadership activity.
Dannika organized the Kiss a Pig Contest for the 2008 Fallbrook Youth Fair. Contestants of the contest included Steve Achard of Fallbrook Village Rotary, Wanda Jordan of Eastern Star, John Hubert of Reche Club, John Waugh of Fallbrook Vintage Car Club, Scott Duffin of Fallbrook Ag Boosters and Frank Russell of Fallbrook Food Pantry.
The project was completed, evaluated and approved. Marilyn McGregor, Emerald Star advisor, awarded Dannika the Emerald Star pin and hat patch at the Fallbrook 4-H February meeting.
