Soroptimists hold wine-and-lounge fundraising event

FALLBROOK — On February 12, Soroptimist International of Fallbrook hosted a wine and lounge event, a new format for fundraising. The Soroptimists combined a wine-tasting event with a pajama party and all to raise money for a good cause.

Both members and guests attended wearing their pajamas, and in addition to a wine tasting there were successful silent and live auctions. Proceeds from the event helped raise money to support the educational scholarships and other community services the club provides.

The party was held at the home of Kelly Lucas, club vice president. X’s and O’s Lingerie from Vista and Bia Jackson’s Brazilian Jewelry were vendors at the event and donated a percentage of their sales to the club.

Soroptimist International of Fallbrook is a volunteer service organization for business and professional women dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls in local communities and throughout the world.
