First Frazier Fun Run a success

FALLBROOK — William H. Frazier School PTA held their inaugural Frazier Fun Run the morning of February 11 and it was a huge success!

Each grade level ran together for 15 minutes around a course that was set up on the blacktop. With music playing and water stations set up around the course, the students enjoyed a great time. The students ran a combined 5,100-plus laps, which is approximately 10 laps per student. The top student runner ran a total of 20 laps!

After the run, the students were treated to Popsicles as they watched the next grade level stretch and get ready. The Fun Run day ended with a 40-yard dash between Principal Rodriguez and Miss Glavin, a first grade teacher and student favorite.

Mr. Rodriguez got a quick start, but Miss Glavin was close behind. As the finish line drew closer, Mr. Rodriguez turned and ran backward to check on his lead and Miss Glavin closed the gap! The race was too close to call.

The William H. Frazier PTA extended their thanks to the wonderful volunteers, teachers, staff and students for a great day. Popsicles, water and cups were donated for the event by Albertsons and Major Market. The Frazier Fun Run is hoped to be an annual event.
