Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Monserate Chapter recently honored the winners of their annual American History Essay Contest and Good Citizen Award. Two of the winners, Adam Artigo and Erin Kendrick, also won the district awards and will now compete to be California State winners.

DAR membership is open to all women 18 and over who can prove lineal descent from a person who fought in the Revolutionary War or aided the cause in some other manner.
