'Life in California' to feature Fallbrook Film Factory

FALLBROOK — The Fallbrook Film Factory has announced that executive producer Noel Horwin is featuring the Fallbrook Film Factory and Film Festival in his ongoing series “Life in California.” Horwin, along with the Fallbrook Film Factory and a production team, produced five 30-minute and one 60-minute “highlights” episodes last year.

These six episodes feature the Fallbrook Film Factory board; some of the Factory’s talented filmmakers, actors, writers and stunt professional; and include a documentary of Fallbrook’s first film festival, which premiered last April.

The 60-minute highlights film was screened at the UltraStar Theater in Bonsall last October and now the entire series is on Time Warner Cable on Sundays at 8 p.m. on Channel 12 in Fallbrook. The series will also run on TWC Channel 19 in San Diego for 12 weeks on Mondays at 9 p.m.

“We are all excited about Noel’s series,” said Ronald Shattuck, founder and creative director of the Fallbrook Film Factory. “It will be nice to showcase the talent that exists within the Factory and we hope to attract more producers, directors, writers and filmmakers into the organization.”

“I like to feature people, places and events on my TV show and it was a delight to feature my own community,” Horwin said. “I had a good experience, along with my children Hayley and Heston, interviewing some very astounding talent from last year’s film festival, including cinematographer Tom Del Ruth, ASC, who received a Lifetime Achievement Award, and writer/director Adam McKay, who has partnered with Will Ferrell on many productions. We interviewed independent filmmakers from all over the nation who were delighted to be in Fallbrook experiencing this unique event. I hope the viewing audience finds the show interesting and enjoyable.”

“This is great timing to help promote the upcoming film festival 2009,” said Brigitte Schlemmer, Fallbrook Film Festival executive director and executive director for the Fallbrook School of the Arts. The Fallbrook Film Factory is having its second annual film festival April 23-26 at the Mission Theatre in Fallbrook.
