Metcalf joins Legacy board

FALLBROOK — Legacy Endowment… The Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Bill Metcalf has joined its board as their newest director. Metcalf is the fire chief for the North County Fire Protection District, which serves the communities of Fallbrook, Bonsall and Rainbow. Metcalf came to the district in June 2003 and has worked in the emergency services field for nearly 35 years.

Metcalf also has a long history in nonprofit organization leadership and financial management. Based on his previous experience with a community foundation, Metcalf said he looks forward to being involved with helping to create the same positive results here in this community, through Legacy Endowment.

The Chief and his wife, Dotty, reside in Fallbrook. “We have found a true sense of family and community here, a place where folks genuinely care about each other and the place where they live,” he said. “The level of support for the service organizations, like Rotary and Kiwanis, as well as the substantial financial support provided by community members to make Fallbrook a better place to live, are just small examples of what makes Fallbrook special. We are very glad to call Fallbrook our home and we feel privileged to have the opportunity to serve this community and our neighbors.”
