'Cats' a great family experience

FALLBROOK — “Take them now. They’ll remember it forever.”

It turns out that the Fallbrook Players’ tag line for their upcoming show, “Cats,” is more than just good advertising. Psychological research suggests that experiences make people happier than possessions.

According to CNN, that’s in part because the initial joy of acquiring a new object, such as a new outfit, fades over time as people become accustomed to seeing it every day, experts said.

Experiences, on the other hand, continue to provide happiness through memories long after the event has occurred.
