Free diabetes screening, drug interaction check offered

On Tuesday, March 24, American Diabetes Alert Day, Fallbrook Pharmacy will be working with the CSU San Marcos School of Nursing, Fallbrook Hospital certified diabetes educator Janine Loescher and local pharmacist Lou Greeley to provide free diabetes risk screenings and a medication “brown bag” (patients bring all of their medications and the pharmacist answers questions and checks for drug interactions).

The free screenings and brown bag will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fallbrook Pharmacy in the medical equipment showroom. This event is sponsored by the Fallbrook Smiles Project and Fallbrook Pharmacy.

The public is invited to attend for the screenings or just to learn more about diabetes and risk factors for developing diabetes. Fallbrook Pharmacy is located at 243 East Alvarado Street. Call (760) 728-1607 for more information.
