Systems from Excel Air qualify for new tax credit

FALLBROOK — Excel Air Corporation, located in Fallbrook and Escondido, specializes in heating and air conditioning service and repair as well as being a dealer of York systems which qualify for a new tax credit contained in the Stimulus Package approved by Congress.

The main part of the Stimulus Package stipulates that homeowners can receive a tax credit for the purchase of an energy-efficient heating and air conditioning system. The credit is 30 percent of the cost of the installed system, up to $1,500. Any single component can qualify, so for example, a 95-percent efficient furnace can qualify for up to $1,500 by itself, depending on the installed cost.

York has far more products that qualify for the tax credit than any other manufacturer. To find out which units qualify, and to view or download a tax certificate, consumers can go to http://www.californiahvac.com and click on “2009 Tax Certificates.”

For more information on the tax credit and available rebates on energy-efficient air systems, contact Alex Kuhtarev, owner of Excel Air Corporation, at (760) 741-5550 or [email protected].
