Learn about sleep disorders in Parkinson's disease

ENCINITAS — Sleep disorders in Parkinson’s disease and initial results from the ongoing TAP (Treating Apnea in Parkinson’s) research project will be the topics for a lecture to be delivered by Ariel B. Neikrug at the Encinitas North County Parkinson’s Support Group (NCPSG) meeting Wednesday April 1, at the Encinitas Senior Community Center, 116B, 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive, Encinitas, from 1 to 3 p.m.

Neikrug is a graduate student at the SDSU/UCSD Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. He has been working with Dr. Ancoli-Israel since 2007 conducting research in the area of sleep medicine and chronobiology.

Neikrug’s current interests include the effect of sleep disruption in clinically ill patients, therapeutic intervention for sleep problems and circadian rhythms interference in adult populations.
