Jacobs named superintendent of FUESD

FALLBROOK — Dr. Brian Jacobs has been selected as the new superintendent of Fallbrook Union Elementary School District, following the retirement of Dr. Janice Schultz. Jacobs has worked for the district in the position of assistant superintendent of educational services since 2006.

Schultz expressed her pleasure at Jacobs being given the position.

“I am thrilled that Brian has been selected as the next superintendent,” Schultz said. “We have worked closely for the last three years and we share a common vision for the district. Now I know we will have a smooth transition.”

Jacobs has been an educator since 1980 and has served in a variety of positions, including principal and assistant principal, and has taught social studies. In addition, he taught at Azusa Pacific University in their master’s program. He has earned such accolades as the Association of California School Administrator Award for Administrator of the Year for Region 14 and Principal of the Year in San Jacinto.
