Art Assist students hold show

FALLBROOK — Students from the Mary Fay School at Camp Pendleton who participate in the Fallbrook Art Association (FAA) Art Assist program will be displaying their art at a show April 2-29. The show will be held at Fallbrook Library and the Brandon Etcetera Gallery.

The Art Assist program was started in 1992 by Mary La Hue, a past president of FAA, to provide assistance and support for art activities in the school systems. Many FAA volunteers have contributed to its success.

FAA volunteer artists work with the students along with the teacher to promote and inspire creativity and appreciation of art. This year the focus for the program has been on Mary Fay School.

For more information on Art Assist, contact current director Shirley Williams at (760) 451-8664; for additional information about FAA, visit http://www.fallbrookartassn.org.
