Writers Read announces workshop

FALLBROOK — Fallbrook’s Writers Read will host a creative writing workshop, “Telling Our Tales,” for people who want to write (poetry or prose, fiction or nonfiction) and just need a little encouragement from successful writers who know what it takes to get started and to keep writing.

The four-session workshop will be facilitated by award-winning authors Kate Harding of Rainbow and Kit-Bacon Gressitt of Fallbrook on Wednesdays, October 14 through November 4, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Participants are invited to read their work on November 10 at the Fallbrook’s Writers Read monthly open mic reading from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Café des Artistes.

“Our previous workshops have brought together wonderful, eclectic groups of writers who have thrived with the support they provided each other,” Gressitt said. “Kate and I appreciate the groups as much as the participants – you never know where the writing will lead us – so we are really eager to begin this next workshop.”

For cost and to register, contact Harding at (760) 728-1886 or [email protected].
