Greek Festival returns to Temecula

TEMECULA — Riverside County’s lone Greek Festival will take center stage at Ronald Reagan Sports Park, which flanks part of Rancho Vista Road east of Interstate 15, this weekend.

“It’s a one-day trip to Greece,” organizer Dimitrios Thiveos said of what’s in store for visitors of the nonprofit event, sponsored annually by St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Temecula.

The event will feature Greek food, music, dancing, crafts, children’s activities and other attractions.

The festival will be held 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. Tickets cost $2 each; children under 12 are admitted free. Visitors 55 and older will be admitted free between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Club and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Foundation. Call (951) 837-7199 or e-mail [email protected] for more information on the festival.
