House party set for 'Step Up' campaign

The Boys & Girls Club of North County will officially kick off their “Step Up to the Plate/It Just Takes One” campaign with a “Lead-Off Hitters House Party” on Friday, October 23, at the home of Wayne and Marty Warner in Fallbrook.

The goal of the campaign is to raise $135,000 to support the five core program areas the club offers its members. Once again, the campaign will feature a “Circle of Friends” event. Any individual or company that contributes $2,500 or more to the campaign will be invited to a special reception in January.

The campaign features five mock baseball team...
