$100 per month per meter at RMWD

At the last board meeting at Rainbow Municipal Water District (RMWD), we learned that “the pay as you go” price to cover the reservoirs will be $100 a month per meter for three years.

The money on hand has already been designated for the covers in process. Some have said they can take the other reservoirs out of service. Speculating on what would happen in my area if Morro, the second largest, was taken out (it serves everything east of Sleeping Indian to Mission road and beyond, south from the reservoir to beyond SR76), that would mean several tanks, pumping stations and miles of new pipes.

Have you needed a plumber lately? Piping, valves and other fittings are so expensive it would make the covers look like a sale in the bargain basement the day after Christmas.
