Last chance to see 'Thoroughly Modern Millie'

FALLBROOK — Local senior citizens were treated to a special sneak preview of “Thoroughly Modern Millie” last Thursday night.

Presented by Fallbrook Players, this musical comedy kept the audience laughing the entire show and many of the guests commented on the amazing vocals of the cast, as well as the jazz music of the 1920s.

“I am going to bring my grandkids back soon so they can see what real theater is like,” said Peggy Pettit of Fallbrook. “We brought a whole group from Silvergate and every single one of us loved it, especially the tapping!”

This is the final weekend for “Thoroughly Modern Millie,” which plays at the Bob Burton Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of Fallbrook High School through October 11.

Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m. with the Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.fallbrookplayers.com. For more information, visit the Web site or call (760) 728-0998.
