Disabled hold food drive for Fallbrook Food Pantry

FALLBROOK — Recently, the disabled individuals of Care-Rite Vocational Services, Stepping Stones Resources and Hidden Treasures Thrift Store held their quarterly food drive at Albertsons and Major Market.

In addition to holding food drives, they have been volunteering at the Fallbrook Food Pantry on a weekly basis for more than 10 years.

Volunteers who run the pantry said they are grateful for the donations and support they receive from individuals, organizations and volunteers.

Considering the rise in unemployment and the slow economy, more and more members of the community are reaching out for assistance, which puts a great demand on local food banks.

Nonperishable food items, as well as monetary donations, are greatly appreciated. Donations may be sent to Fallbrook Food Pantry, PO Box 3008, Fallbrook, CA 92028, or dropped off at their facility at 1042 South Mission.
