AAUW brunch open to public

FALLBROOK — On Saturday, November 14, the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will hold a tea and brunch at the Fallbrook Woman’s Club, 238 West Mission Road, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Amanda Hendrix, Jet Propulsion Lab researcher of Ultraviolet Spectroscopy of Planetary Surfaces, is the guest speaker.

Her PhD, from University of Colorado, is in aerospace engineering sciences. She has studied the icy moons of Jupiter and Saturn and worked with the Cassini missions and others.

Fallbrook eighth grade girls who attended Tech Trek Science Camp at UCSD in July will also share some of their special experiences of camp.

A $30 donation to AAUW funds is requested. This money helps to fund the science camp and other educational scholarships as well as legal advocacy for victims of discrimination.

Call Barbara Ajello at (760) 728-1910 for reservations or additional information.
