Red, White, and Blue Society invites DAR on Ronald McDonald House tour

FALLBROOK — Fallbrook resident Cheyenne McCarthy, president of the Red, White, and Blue Society, Children of the American Revolution (CAR) and a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House in San Diego, organized a tour of a new Ronald McDonald House facility for the youth organization and local San Diego chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).

DAR District XIV Director Paula-Jo Cahoon and Parliamentarian Wanda Prosser joined members of other local DAR chapters including Linares of San Diego, Rincon del Diablo of Escondido, Rancho Buena Vista of Vista and Santa Margarita of Oceanside.

The new Ronald McDonald House recently opened a wonderful new facility featuring 47 bedrooms, outgrowing their old 12-bedroom facility.

CAR is a patriotic youth group that “trains good citizens, develops leaders and promotes love of the United States of America and its heritage.” Members support the military and participate in conservation, community service projects and various patriotic events.

Membership is open to anyone from birth to age 22 who can prove their direct bloodline to a patriot of the American Revolution who aided the cause by civil, patriotic or military service.

Members of the Red, White, and Blue Society reside in northern San Diego and southern Orange and Riverside counties.

The Red, White, and Blue Society will next gather on Veteran’s Day, November 11, at the VFW in Fallbrook to join them in their local parade and celebration to honor veterans.

Prospective members and families are welcome to join them that day. For more information, contact Jeanette Shiel at (760) 215-9142 or [email protected].
