Newcomers Club makes $5,000 donation to library building fund

FALLBROOK — Marlo Miller, representing Friends of the Fallbrook Library, gave a preview into Fallbrook’s new library at the October meeting of the Newcomers Club.

Miller shared information regarding the planning and building of the library and renditions of the new facility.

The Newcomers Club presented Miller with a $5,000 contribution toward the library building fund. They had been fundraising for the donation for three years.

Many of the contributors are currently members of Encore, the sister organization of Newcomers.

The Newcomers Club is open to all residents who are new to Fallbrook, Rainbow, Bonsall or De Luz or have been here less than three years.

Those interested are invited to the monthly coffee on November 12 at 9:30 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church, 463 Stage Coach Lane.

The speaker will be from the arts community and will speak on the visual and performing arts in Fallbrook.
