Ragland to give painting demo at Art Association meeting

FALLBROOK — The next meeting of the Fallbrook Art Association will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, November 9, at the Fallbrook Public Utilities District (FPUD) building, 990 East Mission Road.

Jack Ragland will be conducting a landscape oil painting demonstration at the meeting.

There will first be an informal critique session from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Artists may bring one or two paintings that are in work in any media and will receive input from Ragland. The meeting and demonstration are open to the general public.

Ragland is well known for his award-winning oil and acrylic paintings of landscapes, figures, animals and florals.

His work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group shows in galleries from New York to California and is in private, corporate and public collections in the USA and Europe.

Ragland will be conducting a painting workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, also at FPUD.

The emphasis for the workshop will be on oil painting, but artists working in any media are welcome to attend. To register for the workshop, call (951) 698-7990.

The Fallbrook Art Association will open their annual membership and open judged show on Friday, November 6, at the Fallbrook Art Center.
