Deputies investigate possible stabbing at FUHS

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a possible stabbing that may have occurred on Wednesday, October 28, on Fallbrook High School property.

Fallbrook Substation commander Lt. Phil Brust was unable to confirm that a stabbing occurred on the high school’s grounds but did state that an “incident” involved a female on campus.

“We’re not sure what exactly happened here,” admitted Brust. “The alleged victim stated that someone cut her stomach, but her injuries are inconsistent with her story. Things are just not adding up.”

The incident occurred at approximately noon that day. Brust stated that while there were many students around during the time of the incident, no witnesses have come forward.

“Without a witness, we cannot verify [the victim’s] story,” he said.

The girl, whose name and age were withheld, suffered minor injuries but was not taken to the hospital.

Anyone with information pertinent to the investigation should call the Fallbrook Sheriff’s Substation at (760) 451-3100.
