FALLBROOK — When the Fallbrook Area Visitor’s Bureau offered a pumpkin-carving contest at its weekly Farmer’s Market on Sunday, October 25, it soon became clear that significant talent had turned out for the competition.

Individuals and families worked feverishly in three different categories: children (ages 8 to 12), teens (13 to 17) and families. Winners were selected in each category and awarded a prize.

Category winners were:

• Most Creative: Adam Kehl, 12

• Spookiest: Timothy Murray, 9

• Most Finely Detailed: Janikowski family

• Best Halloween Themed: Murray family...
