Dr. Pyne and staff are wonderful

My name is Joshua Guardado. I’m a freshman at Palomar College and have been a resident of Fallbrook my whole life.

On a Friday I took my 4-month-old boxer puppy to the Fallbrook Animal Hospital. Dr Pyne diagnosed him with parvo, a deadly dog virus.

I explained to the nurse I could not pay to have him treated ($1,100), so my only realistic option was to have my puppy put down. As my girlfriend and I sat in the waiting room filling out the papers to have him put down, we cried and talked among ourselves.

The incredible staff really felt for us and, without talking about money or payment plans, they said they would treat him for free. I was taken back by the generosity and love for animals they have. For me and my girlfriend Cayla, we really felt they wanted to do everything they could for my puppy.

I’m happy to say on Monday my puppy was 80 percent. He’s back to his loving self; all he has to do is put on some weight he lost.

I would like to say thank you with all my heart to Dr. Pyne and all the staff at the Fallbrook Animal Hospital. If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t have my beautiful puppy today.
