Join friendly 'Senior Lunch Bunch' at Community Center

FALLBROOK — Those who regularly dine at the Fallbrook Community Center Monday through Friday between 11 a.m. and noon call it one of the best, and most nutritious, three-course lunches in town.

Sponsored by Fallbrook Senior Citizen’s group, all meals are on a pay-as-you-can basis, although a donation of $3 is suggested.

Senior Center membership is not required and home-delivered meals are available for a $3.50 donation.

Guests are encouraged to arrive at 11 in time to socialize and enjoy a salad and beverage (coffee, milk and juice, when available).

Volunteer helpers take turns serving the main course at 11:30. On Mondays, for instance, diners will find volunteers from the Fallbrook “British” community.

Senior Center director Irene Flores reminds diners that the menu changes daily, so patrons can choose to come when their favorite meals are served. Or, visit on the first Wednesday of the month, when Senior Center birthdays are celebrated.

A monthly listing appears in the Senior Chronicle, on the Community Center bulletin board and in the Senior Circle magazine.

Questions may be directed to Flores at (760) 728-4498.
