Holiday Art Faire this Sunday includes area artists

FALLBROOK- The first Fallbrook Holiday Art Faire will be held this Sunday, November 22, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Pala Mesa Resort. Sponsored by the Fallbrook Area Visitors Bureau (FAVB), Supervisor Bill Horn, and Pala Mesa Resort, the upscale event will offer a variety of one-of-a-kind gift items made by area artisans.

“This is sure to be a wonderful event,” said Kim Murphy, incoming president of the FAVB. “It’s our first one featuring local artists working in many different mediums. It’s a great opportunity to find great gifts in all price ranges.”

To add to the holiday atmosphere, Murphy said the Fallbrook High School Madrigals will stroll through the event singing Christmas carols for the enjoyment of the crowd.

Art mediums that will be available at the event include ceramics, pottery, sculptures, jewelry, oil, acrylic, watercolor, pen & ink, fiber art, photography, digital art, murals, and hand-painted ornaments.

Pala Mesa’s Aqua Terra Restaurant will offer food and beverages (non-alcoholic and alcoholic) for sale.

“It will be a wonderful holiday experience on the lovely grounds of Pala Mesa Resort,” said Murphy.

Artists participating in the event include Laurenn Barker, bronze sculptures and wearable art in bronze; David Bean, pen and ink drawings, hand-painted Christmas tree ornaments; Trent Berning, ceramics; Pamela Brasel, watercolors; Paula Collins, ceramics; Karen Cunagin, textiles; Maria De Castro, clay art; Brigid Delano, weaving; Steve Farrow, artist who focuses on people, animals and nature; Debbie K.
