FALLBROOK — Rainbow Girls, Fallbrook Assembly 137, recently spent three hours with their advisors, Sarilyn Stein and Ilse Visser, at the Fallbrook Food Pantry re-bagging pinto beans and rice to be handed out to the needy in the greater Fallbrook area.

The event was sponsored by the Fallbrook Masonic Family consisting of members from free and accepted Masons. The group collected food items and presented the pantry with a generous donation.

The pantry is appreciative of the good amount of volunteers willing to help; however, monetary donations from the community are very low this year. The pantry is exploring all avenues in an attempt to raise funds.

The next fundraiser is the Thanksgiving Hunger Walk on November 14. “That will give the community a chance to step up and help in fun and fund ways,” said pantry representative Frank Russell.
