Route for final link of SR-76 a no-brainer

CalTrans presently has in the planning stage two alternative routes for the final link-up of SR-76 from Mission Road to I-15.
The first route proposes to merely enhance the existing 76 route and divide it into a two-directional roadway.
This alternative makes for a very unacceptable condition at all non-signaled intersections of our local roads with SR-76, particularly if you desire to proceed in an easterly direction when leaving the Fallbrook/Bonsall area.
The second alternative proposes that a new two-directional highway be built along the southerly edge of the San Luis Rey riverbed. The roadway would extend basically in an east/west direction through undeveloped land and would require little, if any, local access.
The choice is, of course, for the ‘southern route’ alternative, which would facilitate through-traffic in a much more expeditious and safer manner. Pala Road could then remain in its existing location to be used by the local community for I-5 or I-15 access just as it is used today. This approach would also provide the potential for a swifter and safer evacuation route(s) in an emergency situation.
