Pampered Pets spruces up pets with a makeover for the holidays

Pampered Pets is gearing up for another fun “holiday sprucing-up season.” Their four-legged clients, along with their family members, are bound to be thrilled with a head-to-tail makeover this time of year.

Like prior years, each pup will prance their way out of the salon with an attractive holiday bandana.

“My grandmother makes Christmas bandanas for the dogs,” said owner Jacquie Pierson. The festive bandana is double-sided with different prints, so Fido can sport two different looks. No holiday bandana is complete without a bell, though.

If your dog has their own Christmas stocking, pet owners are bound to find some great “stuffers” at the Pampered Pets boutique. Plush toys, bandanas, collar charms and treats are at the top of any dog’s list.

When the holidays pass as quickly as they arrived, Pampered Pets is there to care for your pet in the New Year. Grooming isn’t just for the holidays; it’s a good idea year-round.

The professional team at Pampered Pets is dependable and knowledgeable. Their attention to detail in grooming a dog is phenomenal. In the past, these groomers have spotted ticks, cysts and other situations which required further professional care.

“Sometimes we notice things that pet owners may not catch,” Pierson said.

Regular grooming offers a host of benefits, including help with shedding. When a dog is groomed regularly, such as every two to three months, pet owners may notice a significant drop in shedding. Pampered Pets also cares for smaller breeds which require specialized hygiene care.

Pierson said her shop uses only hypoallergenic products and offers medicated baths. Pierson is mindful of being flexible and accommodating with all of her clients.

“Not every dog is the same, so we work with people to make sure we do the best for their dog,” she said.

When comparing prices, Pierson said, Pampered Pets is highly competitive compared to large box pet stores that offer grooming. These larger stores provide “grooming a la carte” which can become quite expensive when the bill gets tallied. ‘Mom and pop’ shops like Pampered Pets, offer complete, inclusive services.

“The other advantage of bringing your dog to a small shop is that you get to know the person taking care of your dog and you can have a relationship with them,” said Pierson. “When you walk into our facility, it’s open – we don’t go behind closed doors to do the grooming.”

This kind of setup allows a pet owner to walk in any time to check on their animal. More importantly, to see what the groomers are doing.

For those with hectic work schedules, Pampered Pets offers a ‘taxi’ service either one-way or round trip.

Pierson remains grateful in being able to both live and work in Fallbrook. She loves the community which her husband, Christopher, introduced her to.

“My husband’s grandparents lived in Fallbrook,” she said. “When it came time for us to buy a home together, this was the only area we looked, because Christopher wanted to live here.”

Pierson says she appreciates all the Fallbrook residents who have kept their pet grooming needs in their hometown. Their support has been immeasurable, she said.

For those who have yet to use Pampered Pets, Pierson invites them to come into the salon and chat with her.

“We care about your pets as if they were our own,” said Pierson.

Pampered Pets is open from at 8 a.m. Monday through Saturday. The salon is located at 1672 S. Mission Road., Suite E, Fallbrook and can be reached at (760) 723-2332.
