Historical Society to honor docents, open new exhibit

FALLBROOK – On December 12, 2009, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Board of Directors of the Fallbrook Historical Society will honor their many volunteers and docents by serving a Christmas Tea in the main museum.

In addition to the Tea, a permanent new addition to the museum complex, the Bud Francis and Parke McLean collection of Rocks and Minerals, will be dedicated with a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.

Everyone is invited to attend and view this fabulous collection. Curators of this exhibit, Virginia Francis Grossman and Don and Marian McLean, will be present to answer questions and discuss their families’ tales of rock hounding in the Fallbrook area.

For more information, call Judy Gillespie at (760) 451-1572.
