Call for scripts for 30-second film festival commercials

FALLBROOK- Creative director Ronald Shattuck has announced that the Fallbrook Film Factory is putting out a call for 30-second script ideas for the 2010 Fallbrook Film Festival.

The Fallbrook Film Factory will hosting the third annual festival April 9, 10, and 11, 2010 at Ultra-Star Theater Cinemas in Bonsall’s River Village.

“As part of the arrangement with Ultra-Star, we can screen various short commercials announcing the upcoming festival to their general moviegoer audiences,” said Shattuck. “These 30-second spots will screen for a full four months leading up to our event. This is a great opportunity for the factory and members interested in participating in short film productions. We are hoping to produce three or four new spots.”

Shattuck said anyone with an idea for a short commercial or interested in participating as a member of the crew or cast, should contact him via email at [email protected] for more information. Individuals should include their phone number and in the email memo line put “Commercial idea” or “I would like to help.”

The festival committee will select which ideas it thinks are most clever, appropriate and most importantly, ‘doable’ in terms of cost and time remaining.

It is expected that the best of these spots will be reedited for broadcast on Time-Warner Cable for 30 days prior to festival start.

Note: Persons participating in Factory productions must be members at the time production starts.
