Fallbrook Woman's Club plans Rockin' with Santa party

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Woman’s Club is sponsoring the 5th annual Rockin’ with Santa party for children of Camp Pendleton Marines. Forty-five to 55 students from the fourth and fifth grades of Mary Fay Pendleton Middle School have been invited to participate in the event where Santa and Mrs. Claus will make their appearance.

These children are part ot the “Operation Hero” program at Camp Pendleton. Their parents are either deployed or have been injured in combat. The party will be held at the middle school on Monday, December 14 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The children will receive a Rockin’ with Santa invitation and a wish-list for two presents they would like to receive. Santa chooses one per child to distribute at the party. The Fallbrook’s Woman’s Club donates gifts for all the Moms and Dads which are displayed on tables so the children can “shop.” The children choose a gift for their parents, wrap them and take them home. Santa’s helpers from the Woman’s Club will be on hand to assist.

Magician Michael Johnson, well-known for his performances throughout San Diego County, will appear again to work his magic for the children. There will be face painting, carol singing and other fun activities. The Genovese family of Fallbrook is supplying the pizza party.

After Santa’s visit, there will be a Grand Prize Drawing. Every child will have a free raffle ticket and can win prizes ranging from a small decorated Christmas tree and Blockbuster gift cards to the grand prize which is a Disneyland Family Pack.

For organizations, or individuals, who would like to contribute to this event, checks should be made payable to Fallbrook Woman’s Club and marked “Rockin’ with Santa.” The Fallbrook Woman’s Club is a charitable, non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.
