FALLBROOK – The Santa Margarita Boy Scout District is proud to announce that two scouts, Andrew Arnold from Team 725 and Tim Shaima from Troop 755, recently earned their Eagle Rank. Both scouts are sophomores at Fallbrook High School.
Arnold built raised garden planter boxes at the Fallbrook Community Garden for his Eagle leadership project. Andrew says the best part of scouting has been “going on the summer campouts with my unit.” He attributes his leader, Mr. Marty Mead, as the person that taught him values of leadership and what it means to be a good scout.
Shaima designed and installed an informational kiosk for the Fallbrook Land Conservancy at Los Jilgueros Preserve. He says, “Learning all the leadership skills on my project was the best part of earning the Eagle Scout Award.” Shaima says that George Corn, a leader in his troop, was the person that helped him most in scouting. “Mr. Corn is one of the funniest people I have ever met.”
