Two stabbed in Bonsall altercation

A man and a woman suffered stab wounds on December 1 during an altercation that occurred when they tried to help a woman remove her property from her residence in Bonsall.

According to Fallbrook Sheriff’s Substation commander Lt. Phil Brust, the man and woman, both of whom Brust estimated to be in their 40s, entered the residence in the 31000 block of Wrightwood Road in Bonsall in order to retrieve the woman’s property.

While in the home, the pair began to argue with Joshua Burcham, a white male. During the argument, Burcham stabbed both of the victims with a knife before fleeing the residence in a white Ford Explorer.

The victims, whose names have been withheld, locked their property in their vehicle, then called 911. They were both transported to Palomar Medical Center, said Brust. Their current medical status is unknown.

Burcham is still at large, said Brust. Burcham is described to be a white male with long brown hair.
