Michael B. "Mike" Hawthorne

Michael B. “Mike” Hawthorne, born in 1939, died suddenly from cancer Dec. 10, 2009. He was a gentle man who loved his family to the fullest. He was faithful, kind, and giving.

Mike was the beloved husband of Terry Hawthorne, and father of Shayn, Marc, Adrian, Dean and John Hawthorne. He was the son of John and Jean Hawthorne and brother of John and Melissa. Mike was the uncle of Joe and Lori Rodriguez and the grandpa of Paxton, Gage, Luke, Chase, Paige, Chad, Haden and Addyson Hawthorne. Mike was father-in-law to Lisa, Ann, Jennifer and Heather Hawthorne. He was son-in-law to Rosemary Tucker and brother-in-law to Tom and Maria, John and Monica, Jim and Diane, Mary and Jean Tucker.

The Hawthorne family is very grateful to the support given by St. Peter’s Catholic Community, friends and patrons of Hawthorne Tire in San Marcos, the Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside, the staff of Fallbrook Hospital and the Movement Church North County.

The funeral mass is taking place on Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, at 1 p.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Community, 450 S. Stage Coach Lane, Fallbrook, with private interment following at Mission San Luis Rey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the St. Peter’s Catholic Community Building Fund.
