Quilt Guild to feature fabric artist

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Quilt Guild will feature award-winning fabric artist Lenore Crawford at its January 9 meeting. Crawford will also conduct a workshop titled “Fusing, Fabric Painting and Stitching to Create a Work-of-Art Quilt” on Sat., January 11, at the Fallbrook Public Utility District board room.

In the workshop, Crawford will guide students through the process of designing and fusing a small art project. She will demonstrate the technique of fabric painting to add detail and depth to a fused design.

The Fallbrook Quilt Guild meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Fallbrook Community Center at 341 Heald Lane. The business meeting begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by a social/refreshment time; the program begins at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Individuals interested in participating in this workshop should contact Carol Carpenter at (760) 728-9494. Guests are welcome at meetings for a donation of $3. Annual Guild Membership is $30.
